There's some fascinating history behind this location, especially for Buick V6 fans. According to the Dauntless V6 History compiled by John Hubbard (currently offline), Hayes Brothers Buick/Jeep performed the V6 swap in the early 1960's for their customers. This was at least partly the inspiration for the factory V6 installation that followed.
