Mohican Garage
Chestnut Street
Cooperstown, New York
"The Mohican Garage opened in what is now the county annex building on Chestnut Street in August of 1923 by Harry Fowler and J. William Thayer. This dealership, which sold, we believe although our sources were not certain, Studebakers and Willys and possibly something else, remained in business until July of 1956 when it was sold to be made into a supermarket which was leased by Victory Chain, Inc. of Norwich."
If I understand this correctly, the current county annex building was formerly the supermarket which used to be the Mohican Garage, although I may be reading too much into what is said.
