Unknown Dealership Name
Corner of Mill and Main Streets
Stanford, Kentucky
Submitted by web sleuth Lance Macmaster, The Advocate-Messenger (Danville, Kentucky) on February 13, 2003 referenced a government grant for renovation at a former Willys-Overland dealership in downtown Stanford, Kentucky:
"Lincoln County will receive $100,000 for Stanford's transformation of Willy's Overland Motors Dealership building into indoor downtown parking and a transportation museum."
A follow-up article on Feb. 21, 2003 in the same paper narrowed down the location:
"The new single-story parking garage, located at the corner of Main and Mill streets, will help alleviate the lack of parking for customers of downtown businesses... The site of the new garage was once a Chevrolet dealership and a Willys Overland dealership, which is the reasoning behind the car museum."
Date of dealership unknown.
