Jeff Jackson of Tennessee is the present owner of a 1947 CJ-2A with a long family history.  Read more about the Jeep at the entry for Demoss Motors in Hotchkiss, Colorado.  Jeff submitted his father's recollections of another dealer in Paonia, paraphrased below:

"The dealership was owned by Glen Sinclair, who owned OK Tire Shop. (Recapping of tires was very important in those days. Rubber had gone to the war effort. Every tire that could be found was booted and vulcanized and capped. You bought them at your own risk. You not supposed to drive over 35 mph. Most passenger tires were 6.00 x 15.) Glen Sinclair who had that dealership had Karl Klatt for a helper. Karl would be about 80 years and I believe lives in Paonia, CO.

The OK Tire Shop was on your left just after you crossed Main Street, having entered Paonia from the west on the old road into town.  The road into Paonia now comes in from the North."
